MINIMUM insurance: 1500 CHF deductible per collision, parking damages not included

PREMIUM insurance: 0 CHF deductible per collision, unlimited parking damages included
This means that you are only responsible for fuel expenses and any damages that are not covered by your chosen insurance package.
CARIFY car subscriptions are the flexible all-inclusive alternative to leasing or purchasing and offer the following benefits:
More Flexible Terms: A car subscription allows you to use vehicles for a flexible period without committing long-term. With CARIFY, we offer subscription terms ranging from 1 month to up to 48 months. In contrast, leasing contracts are often associated with longer terms spanning multiple years.
All-Inclusive Package: Compared to leasing, your CARIFY car subscription covers all costs related to your desired car in a single monthly fee, including repairs, maintenance, tires, the first highway toll sticker, motor vehicle tax, and registration in your canton of residence. Comprehensive insurance is also included in the subscription price. You only need to cover the cost of fuel.
No Mandatory Down Payment: Unlike leasing, our car subscriptions do not require a mandatory down payment.
Monthly Termination Options: Your CARIFY car subscription can be terminated monthly. In leasing contracts, the notice period is usually several months. This allows you to more easily switch between different vehicle models based on your changing needs.

First of all, welcome to Switzerland!
Yes, of course you can get a CARIFY subscription! In order to be able to register the car under your name, you need to have a residence permit in Switzerland. You can find all the information about the different residency permits here on the government website. In general, there is a lot of information for people who just moved to Switzerland on ch.ch. You’ll see exploring our country with a car is a great idea!
You need a residence in Switzerland, a recognized category B driver's license and a green credit check (a deposit or a different insurance package may be required in certain situations). You need to have a credit card and it needs to be on your name. Additionally for more powerful cars that are above 350 Horsepower, you need to be more than 30 years old.
It is possible to book with a foreign driving license as long as it is recognized by Switzerland. Switzerland recognizes all foreign driving licenses up to one year after you officially moved to Switzerland, after that you need to have gone to the Swiss government and swap your license for a Swiss one.
A Swiss residence of the subscriber is not a mandatory requirement for company vehicles.
Yes, it is possible! As long as the driving license is recognized by the Swiss authorities as a valid driving license. The rule in Switzerland is the following: You are allowed to drive in Switzerland with your foreign driving license up to 1year after you officially registered in Switzerland. After that you must have gone to the government and swapped your license for a swiss one.
Of course you can! In the booking process you can click on “This is a company booking” (see picture below) and fill in your company information. If you wish to get more than one car for your company, contact us directly at [email protected] and we’d be happy to provide you with a Business Customer offer.
This is only possible for business customers. The person who books has to be the person to whom we handover the car and who fulfills all the booking requirements (Swiss residency and valid driving license mostly).
However, it doesn’t mean that you are the sole driver of the car! You can of course let other people who are allowed to drive in Switzerland use your car. You just remain the main driver and the person who is responsible for the car.
The booking process for the CARIFY car subscription is very simple:

When booking a car, you can choose from different minimum terms: 1, 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, 36, or 48 months. It is the minimum number of months you commit to keep the car for. Longer terms offer lower monthly prices! Additionally you can also opt for Flex, Fixed, or Try & Buy packages:
Flex: Continue driving after the minimum term; After the minimum term, the subscription auto-renews monthly until you cancel with 14 days' notice.
Fixed: The garage may request the car back after the minimum term; you would receive 30 days' notice. After the minimum term, the subscription auto-renews monthly until you cancel with 14 days' notice or the garage cancels with 30 days’ notice.
Try & Buy: Test a car in a 1, 3, or 6-month subscription and decide later to buy it at a discounted price. See the specific FAQ section for Try & Buy below for more details.
For a one-month subscription, select "I plan to keep the car for 1 month only" during booking to have the subscription automatically cancelled after 1 months.

CARIFY offers three subscription options: Fixed, Flex, and Try&Buy. Here's what you need to know to choose the right package:
Flex: Cancel monthly after the minimum term with 14 days' notice.
Fixed: Best deal, but the garage may request the car back after the minimum term. You'll get 30 days' notice and can find a new car on CARIFY with the help of our team. After the minimum term, the subscription auto-renews if not canceled by the garage with 30 days’ notice or by you with 14 days’ notice.
Try&Buy: Test a car in a subscription, decide later to buy by the end of the subscription, and get 100% of paid subscription fees (excluding insurance upgrades) deducted from the purchase price. Details in our special Try&Buy FAQ section at the bottom.
CARIFY offers you 3 options when it comes to your insurance coverage. The main differences are :
The CARIFY MINIMUM Insurance has:
A deductible of 1500 CHF per event for fully-comprehensive insurance
No parking damages included
A deposit in the amount of a deductible must be paid
The CARIFY BASIC Insurance offers:
A reduced deductible of 1000 CHF per event for fully-comprehensive insurance
2 parking damages per calendar year (e.g. an unknown person scratched your car while it was parked)
The CARIFY PREMIUM Insurance offers:
0 CHF deductible per event for fully-comprehensive insurance (collision, scratched rims on sidewalks, etc)
Unlimited parking damages (e.g. an unknown person scratched your car while it was parked)
With CARIFY Premium Insurance you benefit from an extended coverage and helps you to fully enjoy your car subscription!
You can choose during the booking process between 500, 750, 1000, 1750, 2500 or 3000 km per month.
If you drive less in one month, you can, of course, compensate for this next month. Unused kilometers at the end of the subscription are not refunded.
Each extra kilometer beyond your package will be invoiced according to your contract. In case of excessive mileage (from 1000 km above the current monthly allowance to date) during the subscription period, an intermediary invoice can be set up.

We understand that sometimes things change and thus offer the option to change the KM package once during your abo duration for a small fee. The rules are simple and are the following:
During the minimum term, you can only increase your KM package.
After the minimum term, you can increase or decrease your KM package.
Once you have given notice of your cancellation, no changes are possible anymore.
Changes are only applied from the coming month onwards and cannot be applied to past or ongoing months.
KM package changes need to be confirmed in written at least one working day before the renewal day of the subscription.
The cost of additional KMs may change and will apply to all additional KMs at the end of the subscription
To change your KM package, just reach out to our team and we can look at it together.
Yes !
Some cars on the platform require longer preparation times and so they can be booked earlier than 30 days in advance. You can identify these cars by using the filter Availability and picking 14-28 or 28-40 days.
This option is not available on all cars - most cars are available immediately and so are ready to be handed over within 9 days and cannot be booked more than 30 days in advance.
We understand that flexibility and affordability are important factors when choosing a car subscription. By offering Down-Payments, we aim to give our customers more control over their monthly costs. With a Down-Payment, you can significantly reduce your monthly subscription rate and even benefit from an additional discount. This means you can enjoy your dream car without breaking the bank.
You can pay your car subscription with credit cards and prepaid credit card.
No! With CARIFY you don’t need to pay anything to get started with us.
At the time of booking (date of booking), CARIFY will debit the amount corresponding to the first month of subscription and a possible delivery fee on your credit card.
Then, every 30 days after the handover date (i.e. every month), CARIFY will debit your card for the amount of your subscription.
For example, if you place your booking on the 1st of May for a car handover on the 9th of May, you will get charged on the 1st of May for the May subscription. On the 9th of June, you will get charged for the June subscription and so on. Once you cancel, for example on the 8th of September to give back the car on the 9th of October, we will charge you one last time on the 9th of September for your last subscription month.
When you book your car with a down-payment, we will attempt to automatically charge both the first monthly payment and the down payment to your provided credit card. If we can only successfully charge the first monthly payment, you will receive a separate invoice for the down payment, which you can then pay by credit card or bank transfer. To ensure a swift delivery of your car, please make sure to pay the down payment within 48 hours.
Your car is usually available within 7-8 working days. This is the time we need to register the car at your canton’s car registration office and get it ready for you!
Some cars require more time to be prepared. You will immediately see in the booking calendar the possible wished delivery dates. You can use the filter Availability.
During the booking, you are able to choose at which date you would prefer to receive the car. We will anyway contact you after you booked to arrange everything
You can choose between two different options:
We deliver the car wherever you want (in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein) for a CHF 189 + the fuel and kilometers needed to get the car from the garage to your delivery location.
You pick up the car at the garage directly.
When we hand over the car to you, we will look at the car together and take notes & pictures of any pre-existing damages. Additionally, we will take a picture of your driving license. The whole handover should take about 30minutes.
When handing back the car, we will go through the same process to make sure the car is in the same state as when you first received it. If there are any damages, we will assess if it is part of the normal car usage or if it needs to be fixed. In case it needs to be fixed, we will have to invoice you for the reparations according to the insurance policy.
The car will be registered in your name in your canton of residence. All taxes are included of course! Some cantons (like Wallis or Geneva) need extra forms about your residency or parking spaces to finalize car registration. We'll provide all the details once your booking is confirmed.
If you already have your own license plate, unfortunately we cannot take it over as of now. But don’t worry we will get new ones just for you and your new CARIFY car! We will also take care of returning the license plate when you give back the car.
The person who books the car and fulfils the booking requirement has to be the main driver of the car. The main car driver is allowed to lend the car punctually to other drivers that also meet all the requirements - so there is no problem for you to lend the car to your friends & family (who are domiciled in Switzerland)!
If a third party driver is not domiciled in Switzerland and/or does not have a valid Swiss driving licence, the insurance cover may vary.
Additionally, someone who has a student driving license in Switzerland is allowed to drive under the general swiss road regulation (e.g. under the supervision of someone who is more than 23 years old and has had a valid driving license for more than 3 years)
Note that if you are older than 25 years old and someone who is younger than 25years old drives and damages your car, the insurance coverage might vary (higher deductibles). If you have questions about this, reach out to our team!
Yes, the vehicle may be driven in Europe and the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea except for Egypt, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Russian Federation, Syria, Ukraine, Belarus.
If you lend the car to someone who is not a swiss resident, this person is not allowed to drive abroad. None-swiss residents are only allowed to drive in Switzerland.
In order to keep the car in good conditions, it is not allowed to smoke in the car. Animals in the car are allowed, but keep in mind that you are responsible for keeping your car stain, fur and odor free. Failure to do so will result in a cleaning fee according to your contract.
You will receive one car key with your car during the handover.
The first Vignette is included in your subscription. Your car will come with a valid Swiss highway sticker, which is valid until January 31st of the following year. For example Vignette 2025 is valid until 31.1.2026. As the customer, you are responsible for the new motorway vignette.
If you are moving, within your canton or to a new one, please contact change your address into your CARIFY account. We will then reach out to you with the instructions on how to proceed with the change of address.
If you would like to, you can install your own charging station at home. Otherwise you'll have the convenience of using public charging stations. This option offers you the flexibility to charge your car while you're on the road.
Customers with handover from the 1st of September 2021 onwards, are insured with our partner Zürich Insurance.
When booking your car you can choose between 3 insurance packages:

BASIC Insurance
Fully-comprehensive insurance: covers you for all damages that you or a third-party might cause (e.g. collision). The deductible for this insurance is CHF 1000 per event*
Parking damage insurance: covers the car when it is parked and an unknown person damages it (e.g. car door damages, key scratches, etc). The deductible for this insurance is CHF 0 per event, with max 2 events per year. Does not include you hitting a wall when getting parked for example; that would be covered by the fully-comprehensive insurance
Partially-comprehensive insurance: covers for natural hazards (e.g. hail, marten, etc) with deductible of 0 CHF per event
Roadside assistance in Europe 24/7
It is important to know that the insurance opens a single case for each damage. Thus, several deductibles must be paid for several different damages. For example, if a car has two separate collision damages and an additional parking damage, the deductible amounts to a total of CHF 2000.
PREMIUM Insurance
Fully-comprehensive insurance: covers you for all damages that you or a third-party might cause (e.g. collision) as well as parking damages (e.g. an unknown person scratched your car while it was parked). The deductible for this insurance is CHF 0 per event
Parking damage insurance: is included in the fully-comprehensive insurance with deductible of 0 CHF per event. No limitation on number of events per year.
Partially-comprehensive insurance: covers for natural hazards (e.g. hail, marten, etc) with deductible of 0 CHF per event
Roadside assistance in Europe 24/7
Generally, items that are not covered in either of the insurance packages are inside damages, bursted tires or dead batteries for example. If you have questions, reach out to our team!

If the car cannot be fixed on the spot by the roadside assistance, please let them tow away the car to the next official garage of your car brand, with the note, that CARIFY must be contacted before a reparation work is done.
If it is only a minor damage to the car and it is still in working condition, please contact us immediately by email at [email protected] with photos/videos of the damage and the conditions in which it happened.
If there's a need for service or maintenance, simply fill out the maintenance request form on the page My Services in your CARIFY Account.For this you will need a picture of the car odometer and of the warning.
In general, you are responsible for carrying out the service yourself at the CARIFY partner. However, CARIFY offers you a personalised driver service if you do not wish to carry out the service yourself.
To cancel your subscription, simply log into your CARIFY Account, go to My Subscriptions, and click "Cancel my subscription." You can also arrange for a return delivery if needed. Here are the key cancellation rules:
After the minimum term, you can cancel with a 14-day notice on your renewal date
If you don’t cancel, the subscription automatically renews monthly, except in certain cases for Fixed or Try & Buy packages where the garage may request the car back; you'll get 30 days' notice.
For example, if you start a 3-month subscription on 11.11.2021, you must notify us by 28.01.2022 to return the car by 11.02.2022 if you intend to keep it for only 3 months.
If you need to cancel before the minimum term or before receiving the car, contact our team at [email protected].
Once your minimum term is over, you can cancel your subscription every month on your renewal date with 14 days notice.
If you wish to cancel your subscription before the end of your minimum term or before the car is handed over, please reach out to our team who will inform you of the associated costs. You can also refer to your contract for additional information.
Our garage partner, our insurance and our CARIFY team have been working hard to prepare your dream car from the moment you clicked the “book now” button.
For cancellations before the handover, we charge a fee of CHF 1500.
For business customers who have booked one or multiple fleet vehicle(s), canceling the subscription before receiving the car is not possible.
When you cancel your subscription directly on our platform, you can also choose if you want to bring the car back by yourself or if you prefer to have CARIFY come pick-up the car. The car pick-up is charged CHF 189 + the fuel and the KM driven from your pick-up point to the garage.
Whether you decide to deliver the car to the garage yourself or that CARIFY comes to pick it up, you should do the following:
Drive with the car through the car wash once and vacuum-clean the interior before returning it.
Fill up the car with petrol before returning it. In case of return delivery, our driver will refill again the tank at the garage and this will be invoiced to you.
Remove all personal belongings from the car and return the car as you took it.
As a rule of thumb, the car should be to return it as you have received it.
Sure! If you have booked the Try&Buy package, you have the right to buy the car at your special Try&Buy purchase price until the end of your minimum term (a written notice of 14 days is required).
If you have booked the Fixed or Flex packages, you can request an offer for buying the vehicle at the end of your minimum term. Contact our customer service ([email protected]) and we will get you an offer.
You can easily change your car once you’ve reached the minimum subscription term of your first booking. Just contact us at [email protected] and our team will be happy to help you find your next car!
A Try&Buy car subscription lets you test a vehicle and get your money back if you buy or lease it in the end. Choose your vehicle, set up the Try&Buy package, and it's ready in a few days. Find all Try&Buy vehicles here.
Test the vehicle for 1, 3, or 6 months. At the end, decide to buy or lease.
Buy: 100% of your subscription fees paid during the minimum term (except insurance upgrades) are deducted from the regular purchase price.
Lease: The rate is based on the reduced Try&Buy price.
Return: If you don’t buy, just terminate the subscription and return the vehicle.
Leasing: The leasing rate is based on the special Try&Buy purchase price. For an estimate of the leasing rate, feel free to contact us.
Employer discount: In case you are entitled to a fleet discount through your employer, don’t hesitate to contact us.
During the minimum term, you pay a monthly subscription fee covering all costs except refueling or electric charging.
If you decide to buy the vehicle at the end, you pay the Try&Buy purchase price. This price deducts 100% of the subscription fees paid during the minimum term (excluding insurance upgrades) from the regular purchase price.
The Try&Buy purchase price also includes a 250 CHF registration fee covering re-registration costs, initial fuel, and vignette.
Example: For a 3-month test period with a 1,050 CHF monthly subscription (1,000 CHF Try&Buy subscription fee + 50 CHF BASIC insurance) on a vehicle with a regular purchase price of 30’000 CHF:
Subscription fees (excl. BASIC insurance): 3,000 CHF
Try&Buy purchase price: 27,250 CHF (30,000 CHF regular price - 3 x 1,000 CHF subscription fees + 250 CHF registration fee)
If you buy the vehicle at the end of the test phase, you keep it without returning it to the garage. The Try&Buy purchase price includes the vehicle in its current condition.
Excluded from the Try&Buy purchase price:

To buy the vehicle at the end of your test period, you need to decide by the decision day (14 days before the period ends):
1-month test: Decide within about 2 weeks.
3-month test: Decide within about 2.5 months.
6-month test: Decide within about 5.5 months.
If the purchase isn't completed by the end of the test period and the vehicle isn't re-registered in your name, the subscription continues. You're charged a pro-rata daily fee until re-registration to maintain the insurance coverage.
Example: For a 1-month test with a 1,200 CHF monthly fee: If re-registration is delayed by 2 days, you're charged 80 CHF (2 days x 40 CHF daily rate).
If you decide to not buy the vehicle and want to return it, simply cancel the subscription in your CARIFY account.
If you need more time to decide, you can continue the Try&Buy subscription beyond the test period without canceling.
Remember:
Subscription fees paid after the test period aren't deducted from the purchase price if you buy the car later.
The garage may cancel the subscription after the test period and sell the car to someone else, though this is rare.
Cancel the Try&Buy subscription in your CARIFY account 14 days before the test period ends. Then our team will contact you to coordinate the return of the vehicle.
If you don't cancel, it auto-renews monthly until you or the garage cancels it.
