Carify convinces at "Die Höhle der Löwen" - the investors who invest CHF 900,000 in car subscription

Florian Fratzscher - October 31, 2020

On the hit show "Die Höhle der Löwen", Raffael Fiechter and Sergio Studer successfully present Carify's car subscription. Millionaire investors Roland Brack, Bettina Hein and DJ Antoine are thrilled and invest almost one million CHF in the startup.

With car subscriptions, customers can use a car around the clock but are not tied to years-long contracts like they are with leasing. Customers can return or exchange it after just one month.

The all-inclusive car subscription is therefore interesting for anyone who wants flexible and hassle-free driving.

Carify wants to help shape the digital future of mobility

If you want to use a car, there have been two options so far: buy or lease. Both options come with high costs and long-term commitment. A circumstance that Sergio and Raffael no longer wanted to accept.

With their mobility startup, they offer customers the opportunity to choose the right car out 2,000 cars. If desired, seniors@work can even deliver it to the customer's doorstep.

The highlight is that all additional services such as insurance, taxes, and repairs are already included in the subscription price. In addition, the contract can be terminated on a monthly basis.

Customers, therefore, have enormous flexibility and are still mobile.

Raffael and Sergio inspire the "lions" with Carify's car subscription

Lions are thrilled by Switzerland's largest car subscription platform.

A model that the lions also found extremely interesting. The idea of being able to change one's car from a Fiat to a Mercedes to a Tesla on a monthly basis generated enthusiasm on the show.

Lifestyle expert DJ Antoine even offered CHF 500,000 for 10% of the company's shares. He thus doubled his investment compared to the CHF 250,000 originally demanded by Sergio and Raffael for 5%.

That's how convinced he is of the business model and the positive development of Carify, which already has 1,000 car subscribers.

Subsequently, investors Bettina Hein and Roland Brack also increased their investment to a total of 400,000 CHF for 7.5% of the car subscription provider.

With a total of CHF 900,000, Carify thus broke the previous investment record of the TV show.

Carify continues to grow after biggest "Die Höhle der Löwen" deal ever

During the broadcast recording in March, the corona crisis held, and many people needed short-term solutions for individual mobility.

Thanks to Carify's car subscription, many people were able to react flexibly to the change in their circumstances and have access to a car within a very short time.

Instead of risking a viral infection on public transport, car subscribers are now safe on the road in their own cars.

Due to the increased demand, a higher valuation of Carify is even under discussion in negotiations with Roland Brack, Bettina Hein and DJ Antoine. In addition, a financing round in the seven-digit range is still to be completed by the end of the year.

The signs for Carify's car subscription are therefore set for growth and the team is looking forward to the partnerships with the experienced investors from "Die Höhle der Löwen".
