History of Citroën

Citroën was founded in 1919 by André-Gustave Citroën. In 1934, Citroën became increasingly well known for the innovative technology of the Traction Avant, which was the first front-wheel drive car in the world to go into series production. Citroën was able to celebrate many more innovative successes in the decades to come. Apart from this, Citroën also distinguishes itself through its triumphs in motor sport, as Citroën is the only car manufacturer to have won three different official championships of the International Automobile Federation.
