VW heir & Elon Musk investor join CARIFY

The start-up CARIFY announced only a few weeks ago that they were able to attract VW heir Toni Piëch, along with other financially strong investors. Zurich Insurance has now joined the start-up as a strategic investor.

"The market for car subscriptions has grown strongly in recent years and will continue to play an important role in the future," says Juan Beer, CEO of Zurich Switzerland. "We looked at several providers. The business model and the team around the two founders Sergio Studer and Raffael Fiechter fit us best and convinced us. We will develop innovative mobility solutions together to meet future customer needs.”

It was only in September that Zurich announced a strategic partnership with CARIFY. Now the SMI Group has also taken a financial stake in the company.

Several weeks ago, CARIFY already announced that Toni Piëch heir of VW and Geneva-based investor Adam Said and his company Ace & Company, among others, had participated in a recently completed financing round.
